WHAT IS SPARK?
Autonomous C2 / C4I Brain for Smart Maritime Barriers
SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The Spark™ C2 Node by Bishop Ascendant Inc. is an autonomous, ultra-rugged command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) hub designed to serve as the central brain of smart maritime barrier perimeters. Housed in a compact cylindrical tower structure (7.5 ft diameter × 20 ft height), Spark aggregates, fuses, and analyzes live sensor data from both the Poseidon™ Surface Maritime Boat Barrier and the Kraken™ Subsurface Counter-UUV Barrier.
By unifying surface and subsea intelligence, Spark transforms physical barriers into a synchronized, multi-domain defense network—connecting real-time ocean sensors to friendly patrol assets and high-level command centers.
CORE FUNCTIONS & ARCHITECTURE
1. Multi-Domain Sensor Aggregation
Spark continuously ingests sensor feeds across the entire water column:
-
Surface Barrier (Poseidon): Micro-radar tracks, day/night EO/IR video feeds, and fiber-optic strain/impact sensing data.
-
Subsurface Barrier (Kraken): Hydro-acoustic sonar telemetry, subsea fiber-optic strain detection, and intrusion alerts.
2. Local Force Vectoring & Autonomous Patrols
Using on-board edge AI processing, Spark processes sensor data into actionable target vectors to coordinate local security responses:
-
Directs friendly Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) to intercept approaching surface craft and boat threats.
-
Relays underwater acoustic commands to friendly Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) for targeted subsea threats.
3. Common Operational Picture (COP) Fusion
Spark fuses disparate sensor streams into a single, comprehensive maritime threat map—eliminating target duplication, calculating threat trajectory, and computing intercept latencies in real time.
4. Dual-Layer Information Dissemination
-
Local Operations: Broadcasts immediate tactical alerts to nearby security vessels, local operator consoles, and automated defense assets.
-
Global Command: Transmits encrypted target data via SATCOM and line-of-sight RF mesh to centralized Command & Control (C2) HQ for strategic intelligence.
5. Adaptable Shoreline & Offshore Deployment
Engineered with an integrated 20.0 kWh LiFePO4 battery storage bank and a 360° Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) solar skin, Spark operates self-sufficiently in off-grid environments—whether installed directly on a shoreline base or mounted on an offshore platform at sea.
