Underwater Cable Defense

Underwater Cables Are Vulnerable

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

The Kraken™ System by Bishop Ascendant Inc. is a modular, high-strength underwater defense barrier engineered to protect ports, harbors, offshore platforms, and vital marine infrastructure against autonomous subsurface threats. Purpose-built to counter Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), subsea intruders, and asymmetrical kinetic attacks, Kraken forms an impenetrable physical and electronic shield beneath the waterline.

KEY CAPABILITIES & ARCHITECTURE

1. Subsurface Kinetic Containment
  • Heavy Physical Impedance: Constructed from rugged, corrosion-resistant marine-grade materials, Kraken provides a physical barrier designed to entangle, disable, and neutralize incoming UUVs and subsea threats before they reach critical assets.

  • Environmental Resilience: Engineered to withstand severe wave loads, intense ocean currents, and high-energy impact, ensuring persistent protection in demanding marine environments.

2. Multi-Sensor Subsea Intelligence
  • Integrated Sensing Grid: Equipped with advanced hydro-acoustic sonar arrays and subsea fiber-optic strain sensing cables for real-time detection, tracking, and localized impact alert monitoring.

  • Instantaneous Threat Telemetry: Upon proximity detection or physical engagement, the barrier immediately transmits target threat coordinates and telemetry to local C2 nodes and centralized command centers.

3. Subsurface Autonomous Operations (UUV Control)
  • Forward Acoustic Gateway: Serves as a tactical underwater data relay and acoustic communication gateway for friendly Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) operations.

  • Swarm Vectoring: Enables real-time coordination, autonomous vectoring, and mission deployment of subsea patrol assets across the defense perimeter.

4. Integrated Surface-to-Subsurface Shield
  • Multi-Domain Synchronization: Operates as a unified defense triad alongside Bishop Ascendant’s Poseidon™ Surface Maritime Boat Barrier and the Spark™ Autonomous C2 Node.

  • Swarm Defense: Forms a continuous, surface-to-seabed defense perimeter capable of stopping complex, simultaneous surface boat (USV) and subsurface drone (UUV) swarm attacks.

5. Rapid Deployment & Modular Scalability
  • Scalable Perimeter Architecture: Modular design allows for permanent harbor installation or rapid, temporary tactical field deployment.

  • Customizable Lengths: Can be scaled to fit any coastal geometry, harbor mouth, or offshore perimeter.

MISSION APPLICATIONS
